The idea of an amazingly comfortable ride and superb off road driving was helped by the Discovery’s all round air suspension. The air suspension was a revolutionary idea, but like any system, its has many parts that can have faults, unfortunately this faults are far Watch on. Unfortunately, Land Rover killed off some of the features that Land Rover enthusiasts loved such as the center differential lock. In 2004 Land Rover ended the Discovery II, which was replaced by the much less loved LR3. The supension indicator on the dash shows its trying to achieve normal height with the flashing light continuous at the second from top position and the continuous light on the lowest position. You can re-calibrate the ride height sensors, but you will need one of the diagnostic devices, Nanocom, Hawkeye, Lynx or Testbook. I'm pretty sure you won't be able to do it by just letting air out of the suspension. So I ordered a pair of Contitech air springs from Ribble Valley having been put off Dunlop from comments on here and they arrived, unfortunately minus the ordered clips. Not a good start but I emailed them that night and fair do's, the owner phoned me the next day and they were in the post, including a replacement ride height sensor that needed aU1SGKD.
